I inherited this boat from my father and have to sell it because I’ve got two kids heading to college and now is not a good time to acquire boat responsibilities. I am motivated to sell this boat quickly. The price reflects that fact and I am open to any reasonable offer.
It is a lovingly maintained pocket cruiser. The boat is easily trailerable. The gaff-rig, hinged mast, and special tensioning system on the stays means that the mast can be quickly stepped, even by a single person. The catboat rig means that it can easily be sailed single handed. The shallow draft makes it excellent for the skinny waters of the Chesapeake and the keel means that even with the centerboard up the boat can sail to windward.
The interior has the premium feel of a much larger boat, with beautifully maintained teak bright work. There is a removable dining table that is easily stored out of the way beneath the cockpit. The two side benches form comfortable bunks, and the dining table can be dropped to create a comfortable doubt berth. For its length the boat is fairly beamy, meaning that with the combination of a wheel helm, it has a very roomy cockpit for a 20’ boat.
