1972 Pearson 39 | Nepenthe

RARE 1972 Pearson 390 CC in excellent condition.  Only 30 of this model were made by Pearson for charter service in the Bahamas.  Nepenthe was previously owned by a couple who made multiple trips to the islands and South America, since purchase a few years ago by current owner extensive updates and renovations have been conducted to bring her to the excellent condition she is in now.  

Nepenthe is a solid, easy to sail, full keel cruiser with skeg rudder providing excellent safety and stability on blue water trips.  Double V-berth forward with adjacent wet head leads aft into the galley / dinette area.  Dinette can be converted into a double berth as well.  Her walk-over cockpit covers a large and roomy engine compartment.  The aft cabin with private wet head can accomodate 3 adults with a single berth to starboard and a double to port.  Headroom is >6' throughout.  Wind generator is adequate to support refrigerator and navigational loads for extended sailing.

Her generous water and diesel storage harken back to her charter origins as does the privacy afforded by the aft cabin arrangement.  Stainless steel dingy davits are currently being built and included in the price.

USCG registered and all safety equipment provided, she is ready to sail away on her next adventure. Cockpit is fully covered and enclosed with eisenglass or optional phifertex screen enclosures.  No outstanding maintenance at this point.

Currently located in a highly desirable marina with an easy walk to restaurants and hardware store.  New owner has the option of retaining the slip despite the marina waitlist.
