Description

1986 Hutchins Compac 16-2 in excellent condition.  Small pocket cruiser easily single-handed and a "trailer-sailer".  Very seaworthy.  Weight 1100 lbs. including 450 lbs. of ballast in the keel making the boat resistent to heeling or overturning.  Hull speed 6 to 8 knots.  Hull condition is exceptional (see photo) never painted and no fading.  Bow pulpit, comfortable cuddy cabin for gear stowage and bunks for two very good friends, swim ladder, cabin and navigation lighting, teak trim, aluminum kickup rudder, self-bail cockpit, tan hull with brown trim.  Custom Hutchins galvanized tilt trailer for easy launching.  4HP Mariner outboard motor.  Three sails by Johnson:  main with reef points, working jib, and genoa jib.  Complete running rigging, mast and boom.  Ready to sail.  Selling due to age- time to retire from sailing.
