1979 Union 36 | Sea Sisters Featured

Eliot, ME, USA

Description

Sea Sisters is an iconic Robert Perry designed double ender built for world cruising. She is strong, safe, beautiful, and in excellent condition.  She is essentially the same boat as a Hans Christian or a Tayana but built at a different Taiwan shipyard (the Union Shipyard, hence the name Union Polaris).

Her hull is rugged and built to handle any sea.  The full complement of sails will last for years. The Yanmar diesel has been entirely reliable and carefully maintained. The worm-gear steering is bullet proof. She has a strong electric windlass and 300 feet of chain rode. The Trojan batteries are two years old. She has a woodstove for winter and air conditioner (hardly used here in New England) for summer.  Her solar panels easily keep the batteries charged.

Is there a water maker on your boat?
