A custom built copy of the famous Herreshoff 12 ½. Crazy Horse was built in Wisconsin by the owner, now sails in Daytona Beach, Florida.
She is a John Brooks design using glued lapstrake construction and marine plywood planks making her stronger and lighter. Won’t dry out if trailered so no bottom paint.
580 lbs lead ballast keel, she sails with easy motion and is comfortable and very stable. With a Marconi rig, she is easily handled by one person or a beginning sailor.
Decks covered with Dynel. Mast and boom made of Sitka Spruce with stainless steel sail tracks.
Plenty of space for four adults and their gear. Includes sails, electric outboard, gel battery and bilge pump. Galvanized trailer custom built by Triad Trailers with extendable tongue for easy launch and recovery.
