This Bruce King designed Ericson 381is a responsive and seakindly racer/cruiser. Valkyrie has a fin keel (5'4" draft), spade rudder, and a displacement of 14,400 pounds. She is seaworthy overall with all the things that matter in good working and upgraded condition. When the wind dies her reliable Universal M40 (Kubota) diesel achieves a comfortable 5kt cruising speed at 1,500 rpm's. But almost all boats need something and some cosmetics would make this boat really pretty. With the dinghy and outboard engine this is a cruising deal.
