1981 Irwin 33 | Capella

Ready to go sailing and cruising? Capella is ready for you. She is a 33' 1981 Navigator (Irwin cousin) blue water cruiser that is ready to go. You can walk off the dock and go to Captiva tomorrow. I am planning a trip in early Oct if I still have the boat.

Great Bruce anchor. Chain and rode are about 4 years old. 25ft chain 150ft rode.  I anchor out a lot and have never drug anchor.

Nice big cockpit. Fit 6 people easily.

Yanmar 3GM30F engine was rebuilt 5 years ago and has been well maintained. 786 hours since rebuild
It purrs like a kitten
Auto Pilot and depth gauge 
Chain plates have been replaced
Stanchions have been rebedded and reinforced at the deck
New float switch in bilge

About 1 year left on bottom job
Hard paint was used for bottom jobs
Lifelines are in good shape. Some sections replaced in past 3 years. 

Toilet, holding tank and macerator work great.
There is no odor from the holding tank.
Fresh water shower in head. 
No hot water
Macerator is only 1 year old.
V Berth has high end low watt fan and USB ports.
Nice hanging locker
Great storage in the bilge. Repurposed old fuel tank for wine and water storage.
Fresh water pump is 1 year old
All cabin lights are 12 volt and work great. Some are red and white for overnight cruising
Settee and table convert to very comfortable double bed with high-end, low watt fan (great air flow, low drain on battery, and pretty quiet)
Upgrade propane hose.

Lots of small connivances has been added by an experienced cruiser. 
Canvas is about 3 years old and in good shape. Bimini recently waterproofed.

As a well equipped cruiser, many details have been addressed to make this a great little boat. The galley works with a great ice box, working stove, and very functional storage. The cushions in all the berths are in great shape and there is comfortable bedding for everything. Low voltage fan and USB charging ports are throughout the  boat as well.

This is a full keel, blue water boat with  1.25" thick hull that has cruised most of South Florida (East and West coasts) and the Caribbean. The mast is only 37', so getting across Lake Okeechobee to the East Coast is easy. Or, stay local and do sunset sails with friends and family, I have done this a lot.
 
Capella is a very comfortable boat that doesn't stink and is very female friendly. She is NOT a race boat 

Capella is ready to go. Nothing is perfect, but I have spent a lot of time and money getting this boat into cruising shape and I have taken her cruising. You can confidently cruise down to Sanibel, Captiva, Boca Grand, Cabbage Key and Sarasota or do local over nights to Emerson Point and Fantasy  Island. I have taken her there many times
