Originally built in Australia, this Alien 21 is a really fun boat. This boat is designed as a "cat boat", meaning the mast is positioned forward with only a single mainsail to control.
-Solid fiberglass
-Two mainsails (see photos). Loose footed Quantum full batten squarehead mainsail made of Technora Black Fiber and traditional sail, not loose-footed.
-Easy to trailer and launch
-Sits low on a trailer like a regular powerboat due to the retractable daggerboard and removable mast
-Easy to beach (Kickup rudder)
-Nearly new Tohatsu 6 HP Sailpro outboard engine (4 stroke), model MFS6D https://www.tohatsu.com/marine/int/outboards/mfs6c_1.html
-King Saltwater Trailer with brakes
-Garmin GPS chart/depth sounder
-FAST! It will get up and plane in a good breeze.
-Sleeps 2 adults in V berth and 2 more adults in the forward berths. Think camping, instead of luxury yachting. It's small, but dry inside.
-Custom aluminum rail installed across the stern for safety
-Handles waves and heavy wind quite well for a smaller boat
-built in flotation chambers
-360 pound lifting lead keel (daggerboard)
-2 sets of reef points in the mainsail to reduce sail if needed.
Just refurbished the daggerboard. Could use new bottom paint at your convenience someday. Replaced a lot of hardware, sheets and did a number of boat upgrades, but there's always at least one more thing to do. :)
