2002 Jeanneau 43 | Options

Nanny Cay, Tortola, BVI

Description

This fine example of a Sun Odyssey 43 DS 'Options' was a fresh water vessel for the majority of its life before the previous owners made some thoughtful upgrades for Caribbean cruising such as new Raymarine Electronics, Wind generator, solar panels, watermaker, etc. ?Options? features 2 generous master staterooms and a spacious Deck Saloon that lets in ample natural light and allows panoramic views from the saloon, much like standing in the saloon of a catamaran.

Over the past 50 years, Jeanneau has preserved its passion for the sea and pushed the boundaries of design. This Jeanneau 43 Deck Salon is an excellent example of the marriage of cruising comfort with performance. This yacht sports a traditional nautical look with teak timberwork, teak and holly floorboards and rich blue soft furnishings. The result is a handsome interior which is light and airy thanks to the deck saloon.

Well equipped, recently refitted and outfitted with all the creature comforts for comfortable cruising. If you are looking for a well outfitted performance cruiser to sail the Caribbean and beyond this is your boat!

*This 2002 43 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey DS was damaged in Hurricane Irma in Nanny Cay boatyard in 2017 while on the hard. The current owner recently completed a refit correcting all known issues.

List of what happened:

  • The boat was de-mated and fell to port.
  • Suffered a hole in the port side hull. No stringers or bulkheads were damaged.
  • 2 Deck saloon windows were cracked and replaced.
  • Cabinsole was refinished.
  • In mast furling was replaced with a slab reefing system (better for offshore/bluewater sailing)
  • All rigging is NEW 2021
  • New ProFurl head sail furler
  • NEW Mainsail & Stackpack

All repairs were carried out by by professional marine contractors in Nanny Cay Marina.

One cushion in the saloon is a bit worn out from the sun that could be replaced. On cushipn in aft cabin is missing. Other than that, the vessel is in great condition.

Before being brought to the Caribbean, this Jeanneau was living in fresh water. It's been upgraded with all new Raymaine electronics and essential equipment for offshore cruising.
