1984 General Boats 30 | Pony Express

“Pony Express” is a cruiser/racer known for superb light wind performance. Built in 1984 (Hull # 59) by Ontario’s Goman Boats Ltd. And designed by Steve Killing, the Express 30 combines lively sailing with cruising comfort. The interior of the Express 30 is open and uncluttered. The galley is aft of a spacious main saloon with a fixed table. The head is forward of the main bulkhead on the starboard side with a good-sized hanging locker opposite. 

This is a well maintained sailboat. Equipment and inventory includes: stainless steel rod rigging, Yanmar diesel engine. Sails: new UK main (2019) , Evolution 155% # 1 genoa (approx. 2012) and new UK # 3 (2015) genoa, older medium and light weight # 1 genoas, four spinnakers (1/4 oz, ½ oz, ¾ oz tri-radial, 1 ½ oz Hood Flanker), depth sounder and wind instruments. Anchor: (2017) 9kg. Rocna Vulcan with 30’ high tensile chain and 125’ of ½” nylon rode.  Two group 27 deep cycle batteries: one Trojan AGM (2016) house and one Motomaster AGM (2021) reserve. Galley provides plenty of storage and ice box and propane stove. New Raritan marine toilet 2019. Hot water heater: Isotemp 6 gal. with 316 SS tank (2020). Blue Seas 12V electrical panel and Xantrex True Charge 2 charger installed in 2018. Blue Seas AC 120V ELCI breaker and AC power panel installed 2021. LED cabin and reading lighting installed 2018. Masthead LED anchor light new 2021. Pony Express comes with a winter cover, cradle.
