Cruising sailboat available for sale in Panama. This Beneteau First 345 represents a well-proven example of the performance cruising heritage that defined the First series. This vessel gained early recognition after completing a passage from the Mediterranean to Southern Africa and was originally showcased as an example of what a fully equipped First 345 was capable of achieving. This vessel is one of the few fitted with a full binnacle helm rather than tiller steering, providing improved comfort and control for extended passages, a feature further validated by her Atlantic crossing in the early 1990s. She carries a full sail inventory and is powered by an updated, recently overhauled Volvo Penta MD2030 diesel engine with a folding propeller and recently replaced cutless bearing. Energy independence is supported by solar panels, a wind generator, and a recently installed LiFePO₄ house battery system. Under continuous ownership since the mid-1990s, the vessel has proven herself as a capable liveaboard cruiser for a small family. She is currently located in Panama, stored out of the water in a secure Pacific coast yard, regularly maintained, with the engine started and flushed on a routine basis. Launch and sea trial arrangements can be made for serious buyers.
