Description

The ultimate Cruising Boat Slocum 43 (same design as Passport 42):

Hull fiberglass sandwich, canoe stern, no blisters.  All thru-hull and deck power fixtures reset in solid fiberglass. 

Oversized Raymarine below-deck autopilot.  Monitor windvane.  Oversized 1500W Lofrans windlass, 300+ ft 10mm chain, 80 lb Rocna, 80lb Spade, 30 lb Spade (stern), reinforced bow roller, anchor wash-down.  2nd anchor controls in cockpit. 

Oversized rigging, set up for single-handing. (Sail management and reefing from cockpit.) Gennaker, 150% Genoa, mast steps. New traveller.

Series drogue w/ attachments, forward-looking sonar.  Lightning conductor to hull bottom, Large double emergency bilge pump. 1/2" polycarbonate windows.  Complete set of new sea-cocks, partially installed.  Emergency raft, Katadyn desalinator handpump, emergency beacon.

Large Racor double fuel filter.  Fuel tank bottom replaced, tank sandblasted, anti-corrosion treated, repainted and set in solid frame.  Black water tank completely re-done.

Isolation transformer, 3kw inverter, solar panel, wind generator, new 50A battery charger,  200 Amp alternator w/ serpentine pulley.  Balmar regulator, pre-installed back-up regulator.  Hydronic heating (Webasto) with engine heat option.

Icom SSB w/ modem (for email), 2nd SSB receiver.  Radar. All instruments also fed to nav station computer, a mounted laptop (w/ multiplexer).   Complete engine log since 2006.  Detailed schematics and description of all electric wiring!

Boat was being made ready for cruising again, but plans had to be abandoned for family reasons.  Things left to be done:  eventually install rest of sea-cocks, re-mount stbd rub strake, repair burner of Webasto, lead lines of new traveller into cockpit.  Currently on the hard, with engine properly treated.
