Description

The Hunter 240 is an excellent 24’ weekend cruiser, offering comfort, stability, and ease of operations.  Designed for even single-handed sailing with all lines running aft, our boat is also equipped with a roller furler for its jib and an electric start motor to make the job even easier.  No worry about running aground as it has a retractable centerboard that, when raised, has only an 18” draftbut , when lowered offers tremendous stability in high winds.  Moreover, the new GARMIN chartplotter and sonar with its large 9” touchscreen will provide all the necessary data to navigate to new adventures and mark your route with waypoints so that you can safely return home. Easily trailerable due to its ingenious mast raising system and a water ballast system that, when emptied, gives the boat a dry weight that even a small vehicle can pull, you can readily try out new waters.  Both the cockpit and cabin are spacious and well-designed for day cruising or weekend trips.  A well-equipped galley and two comfortable berths will make overnight sails a real pleasure.  The overall condition is great but, unfortunately, the owner’s condition is not as good.  Make it yours today and never worry about being stuck quarantined at home again!

Standard Features, Extras, and Improvements:

This Hunter cruiser with an overall length of 24’1’ and a wide beam of 8’3” can comfortably accommodate 8 people.

Refinished in 2021, two teak stern rail seats with cup holders offer a great lookout while under sail. Two more built-in cup holders are in the cockpit as well.

A non-skid deck and cockpit floor, coupled with lifelines, maximize your safety while under sail. The stainless steel pulpit provides added security

Walk-through transom, fiberglass swim platform, and permanent retractable stainless steel swim ladder make a dip in the water even more enjoyable.  Be sure to check the depth finder first.

Protective anti-fouling was applied in 2020 and a new battery was also installed.

Dual double berths, forward and aft, are cushioned for sleeping comfort.

Galley includes an installed MagicGlow two-burner propane stove, a built-in sink with a freshwater bladderand side table with storage.  A large, fiberglass dinette table attaches to stainless steel bracket in either the cockpit or cabin with a double settee to enjoy meals on board.
